The LiveLoveLau Scholarship Fund

student and family 2

LiveLoveLau scholarships are given to the children up to the age of 22 of  a parent/parents who are deceased by sudden illness, unexpected or tragic death. Scholarships are limited to students residing within a California or Hawaii.

According to the terms of this scholarship, students will be selected on the basis of eligibility and essays. Community service, grades, and financial need will also be considered in the review of applicants. However, grades will not play a dominant role in the selection process. Our reviewers recognize that dealing with death in a family member may impact a student’s academic performance.

The LiveLoveLau shows no bias toward students of any particular race, religion, or gender. None of these will be considered in awarding scholarships.

SCHOLARSHIPS ARE AWARDED FOR ONE ACADEMIC YEAR ONLY. EACH RECIPIENT MUST REAPPLY EVERY YEAR AND COMPLETE A NEW APPLICATION FORM. TO QUALIFY FOR A RENEWAL SCHOLARSHIP, PRIOR AWARD WINNERS MUST PARTICIPATE IN A LiveLoveLau FUNDRAISING BENEFIT OR EVENT. A REQUIRED ESSAY QUESTION WILL ASK FOR DETAILS ON THIS ACTIVITY. PREVIOUS WINNERS ARE NOT GUARANTEED SELECTION FOR ANOTHER YEAR.
